Penguins Return on ROOT SPORTS  with September Preseason Game &
Open Regular Season on Regional Sports Network October 8th against Dallas Stars

ROOT SPORTS announced today it will produce and distribute over 70 Pittsburgh Penguins games during the 2015-16 National Hockey League regular season, beginning with the season opener Thursday, October 8th when the Penguins take on the Dallas Stars from American Airlines Center.  Coverage starts at 7:30PM with a special one-hour Pregame.

Prior to the start of the 2015-16 season, ROOT SPORTS  will produce a total of three (3) preseason games, with one airing on the regional sports network and two airing on WPCW:

Paul Steigerwald, Bob Errey and Dan Potash will return as the voices of Penguins Hockey with Steigerwald doing play-by-play, Errey providing color commentary and Potash resuming as the Penguins sideline reporter.  In addition, Jay Caulfield, Rob King, Stan Savran and Robby Incmikoski will provide game analysis and insight during ROOT SPORTS’ Penguins Pregame Presented by Heritage Valley Health System, Penguins Postgame presented by Allegheny Health Network and game intermissions.

Additionally, ROOT SPORTS  will produce and distribute a new edition of Inside Penguins Hockey, the network’s exclusive 30-minute Penguins magazine show, once a month and air new monthly episodes of the Penguins produced series ‘In the Room’ throughout the season.
