ROOT SPORTS ANNOUNCES 2016 PITTSBURGH PIRATES TELEVISION SCHEDULE

REGIONAL SPORTS NETWORK TO BROADCAST 150 GAMES IN 2016

ROOT SPORTS  announced today it will produce and distribute 150 regular season Pittsburgh Pirates games during the 2016 Major League Baseball season.

Steve Blass, Greg Brown, Bob Walk and John Wehner will continue to call the action in 2016.  They will be joined by Pirates’ new addition Joe Block, who will handle play-by play duties along with Greg Brown.

Blass, Walk and Wehner will continue color analysts duties, ROOT SPORTS’ on-air personality Robby Incmikoski will provide coverage from the field as Pirates sideline reporter and former Pirates pitcher and member of the 1979 World Series team Kent Tekulve will return to provide Pre and Postgame analysis. Joining Incmikoski and Tekulve throughout the season are ROOT SPORTS’  Stan Savran and Rob King, who will host Pirates Pre and Postgame, and Dan Potash, who will handle both anchoring and sideline responsibilities.

In addition to game broadcasts, ROOT SPORTS  will provide fans with extra Pirates coverage all season long including LIVE Pirates Pregame presented by W.B. Mason and Pirates Postgame presented by Allegheny Health Network for all 150 games, new episodes of Inside Pirates Baseball presented by Allegheny Health Network, and other exclusive Pirates-related programming.
