ROOT SPORTS ANNOUNCES 2012 WPIAL FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS SCHEDULE

               NETWORK TO AIR 11+ CONSECUTIVE HOURS OF LIVE HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL ACTION


ROOT SPORTSTM will conclude its eighth successful season of McDonald’s High School Football with the 2012 WPIAL Football Championship Games LIVE from Heinz Field on Friday, November 23rd.
 
The regional sports network will air all four Championship games LIVE in High-Definition kicking-off at 11:00AM with the Single-A Championship game between Clairton and Sto-Rox. In addition, ROOT SPORTS will provide extra coverage throughout the day with a LIVE Championship Day Studio Show hosted by Dan Potash and Chris Schneider.
 
Rob King, Paul Alexander, Craig Wolfley and Mike White will provide play-by-play and color analysis for the Championship games. Rich Walsh will bring exclusive coverage from the field as ROOT SPORTS’ sideline reporter and Katie O’Malley will provide extra insight and fan perspective as ROOT SPORTS’ Social Media Reporter.
 
The McDonald’s High School Football WPIAL Championships are telecast throughout the ROOT SPORTS five-state footprint to over 2.9 million homes.
