After record breaking regular season, all five playoffs games land in network's
top 20 Highest rated of all time

ROOT SPORTS™ announced today the network posted an overall 21.3 average household rating (665,600 viewers per game) for their coverage of the Penguins first round of the 2013 Stanley Cup Playoffs, making it the highest-rated first round playoff series in the network’s history. The regional sports network produced and carried five of the Penguins’ six games against the New York Islanders, including the series-deciding Game 6, in which the network earned a 23.3 average household rating (728,125 viewers per game), the highest rated first round game and fourth highest rated playoff game in network history.  All five games fell in the network’s top 20 highest rated playoff games of all time:

This caps off the regular season in which ROOT SPORTS’ Penguins broadcasts led all U.S. based MLB, NBA or NHL teams since 2002, all U.S.-based NHL and NBA teams for the second year in a row and all U.S-based NHL teams for the fourth consecutive season.
