ROOT SPORTS TO AIR PENS' ALL-ACCESS 'IN THE ROOM'
One-Hour Show Debuts Thursday, February 9 at 8:00PM
Did you ever wonder what Pittsburgh Penguins Coach Dan Bylsma says to his players on the bench during a game? What takes place at ice level during a Pens practice? What happens in the locker room and training room? The Penguins and ROOT SPORTS are teaming up to provide those kinds of behind-the-scenes answers.
"In the Room," a one-hour compilation of all-access video vignettes about the Penguins’ 2011-12 season, will air seven times on ROOT SPORTS this month – starting Thursday, February 9 at 8:00PM.
"In the Room" began in the fall as a series of four- to six-minute video clips that were posted to the Penguins’ website at www.pittsburghpenguins.com. The fan reaction was so positive that the Penguins decided to edit a series of episodes together to create a one-hour show for ROOT SPORTS, tracking the team from the start of training camp in September to the NHL All-Star break in late January.
"We’re always looking for fresh content for our viewers, and this compilation of ‘In the Room’ provides a unique, inside look at the Penguins that goes beyond the game broadcasts, or what fans see from the stands at CONSOL Energy Center," said Shawn McClintock, Senior Vice President and General Manager of ROOT SPORTS.
