Network’s 17th Season of McDonald’s High School Football Brings Some of
Western PA’s Best Rivalries, Teams & Athletes to Television This Fall

ROOT SPORTS™ announced today the 11-week schedule for its 17th season of McDonald’s High School Football presented by TRIB Total Media kicking off this September. The regional sports network will broadcast a total of seven Thursday night regular season WPIAL games, three Friday night playoff games and culminate the season with the four-game WPIAL Football Championships from Heinz Field on Saturday, November 23.  All games will be broadcast in High-Definition.

“With this season’s weekly matchups of rival schools, ROOT SPORTS is excited to showcase the competitiveness of the student-athletes and the enthusiasm and commitment of each school’s fan base,” said Shawn McClintock, Senior Vice President & General Manager of ROOT SPORTS.   “Western Pennsylvania is the home to one of the greatest total high school football experiences in the country and ROOT SPORTS is excited to bring that experience to viewers again this Fall.”

ROOT SPORTS personality Rob King and 12-year NFL veteran Craig Wolfley will return as the voices of McDonald's High School Football beginning Thursday, September 5th with the 2013 season opener live from Pine-Richland as the Rams host the Seneca Valley Raiders at 7:00PM.
