announced today that the network will air a live the Atlantic Coast Conference match-up between the University of Pittsburgh Panthers and the University of Virginia Cavaliers Football game on Saturday, September 28 starting at 12:30PM from Heinz Field.

This summer, ROOT SPORTS announced a new partnership to bring an extensive schedule of Atlantic Coast Conference programming and live games to the regionals sports network beginning with this fall.  The game on September 28, featuring two ACC Conference teams will kick-off after the weekly episode of ACC All Access, which airs every Saturday at Noon on

Immediately following the Pitt Panthers football game the Pittsburgh Pirates will play the Cincinnati Reds in the final series of the regular season from Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati, starting at 4:10PM onROOT SPORTS.
